Pippa (Philippa) is a Registered Clinical Psychologist with a solid background in research and education, having worked in tertiary and secondary education and psychology focused research before commencing a career in individual client-focused psychology. In addition to extensive formal training, Pippa brings substantial lived experience. As a clinical psychologist Pippa served 10 years with the Australian Army during which she was deployed a number of times, including to the Middle East. She has retained her links with the Army as a Reservist and works in the sexual assault acute response team.
Drawing on her experience and education Pippa’s expertise and specialisations, includes therapy for PTSD, anxiety, and depression. She uses a number of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT); Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR); Cognitive processing therapy (CPT); Acceptance commitment therapy (ACT); Mindfulness based stress relief; Attachment focused therapy; Dialectical Behavioural therapy (DBT); and Schema therapy.
